Plains and Laflin are just north of Wilkes-Barre and Wilkes-Barre Township is to the east of Wilkes-Barre.  All either contain or are just minutes from any activity that is party of everyday life and convenience.

The Mohegan Sun Hotel and Casino in Plains offers an expansive entertainment venue and the largest convention center in the area.  People come from a wide area to spend the day or weekend.  Just up the road is beautiful Seven Tubs Nature Area that is a 537 acre recreation area with waterfalls and trails for those that want to enjoy a day in nature.

Wilkes-Barre Township has evolved into the largest commercial shopping and entertainment area in the area.  The Mohegan Sun Arena is the home to the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins.  There are 8,000 permanent seats with the ability to add another 2,000 seats for concerts and other venues.  Dozens of Hotels and restaurants have been built around the Arena area.  The Wyoming Valley Mall and numerous plazas house unique retail businesses to department stores and national brands.

All three communities offer housing opportunities, including large apartment/garden complexes, traditional in-town neighborhoods and subdivisions built within the past decades.  Laflin is mostly residential in nature and is very popular as its location creates quick access to Wilkes-Barre, Pittston and Scranton.
