Testimonial

I am originally from China. I speak mandarin Chinese, English and Southern Hokkienese.

I obtained my Ph.D at the University of Southern California where I researched, taught and wrote about marriage, family, and cultural diversity. I will use my research and advising experience to guide you through real estate transactions.

As I work hard to support my own family, I understand buying a home or selling a home means huge for your family. That’s why I embark on a real estate career. I am here to help you achieve your family goal—be it selling a home, relocation, or buying a home and settling down.

I care about social justices, and I have been an ardent advocate for cultural diversity and social equality.

Debbie Reed is a multi-year recipient of the CENTURY 21 Diamond Award for outstanding sales achievement, closing $6+ million in real estate transactions each of those years. She is also a yearly recipient of the CENTURY 21 Quality Service Award for outstanding commitment to quality service and dedication to customer satisfaction.

Client surveys include remarks such as “Debbie was very patient and kept looking with us until we found the right home. She was always there when we needed her”. Other agents’ comments include “Thanks for all your help getting the property to closing. You were very attentive to every detail and it was a pleasure to work with you.”

Debbie is a graduate of Purdue University and practiced dietetics and food service management in the Indianapolis area until her family relocated to Mountaintop in 2000. She joined CENTURY 21 Smith Hourigan Group in September 2006 after graduating from the Pennsylvania Real Estate Academy.

Outside of work Debbie is very active in the community. She is a dedicated volunteer to her church activities, Hazleton Pregnancy Resource Center and Lehigh Valley Health Network Board of Associates to name a few. She is also a strong advocate of International Mercy Ships. But her favorite pastime away from the office is spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.

Debbie would count it a privilege to assist you in buying or selling your next property.

Carl is a lifelong resident of the Wyoming Valley, born in Wilkes-Barre and currently a resident of Lehman Township.  He is a graduate of Dallas Senior High School, Muhlenberg College in Allentown and received his real estate certificate from Kings College, Wilkes-Barre.  Having participated in varsity sports in both high school and college, he still maintains an active lifestyle with skiing, cycling, golf and tennis among his interests, as well as travel.

Professionally, Carl has been in the real estate business over 30 years and is experienced in residential, commercial and investment sales, land development, rentals, property management and state certified residential appraisals.  Community involvement includes current board member of the Luzerne County Historical Society, executive board and treasurer of the Back Mountain Chamber of Commerce, past president of the Greater Wilkes-Barre Association of REALTORSâ, past president Luzerne County Head Start and board member, past president Wilkes-Barre Jaycees, past board member Greater Wilkes-Barre Chamber of Commerce, past board member Kingston Township Recreation Commission and church and diocesan lay administration.  Awards include the Wilkes-Barre Association Realtor of the Year, Life Recipient Pennsylvania Association of REALTORS Excellence Award, Century 21 Masters Award recipient, and a consistent Quality Service Award recipient.

Philosophically, I believe client needs are critical and the opportunity to act as an advisor to provide creative solutions to achieve long-term goals is my responsibility.  I am proud of the two traits which consistently appear in customer surveys:  persistence and honesty.
