Just minutes from downtown Wilkes-Barre, the Ashley/Hanover Township areas, including Warrior Run and Sugar Notch, offer great convenience and affordable housing.

Steep in tradition, these areas once housed many of the coal mining operations and processing in the Wyoming Valley in the late 19^th Century into the mid-20^th Century.  Neighborhoods boasted many gathering places for socializing, individual schools and numerous place to worship.  Street cars, and later buses carried the residents to Wilkes-Barre for their shopping and other needs.

In the past decades a reclamation of the mining area has taken place and a network of limited access highways have been built.  These improvements have all for construction of massive distribution centers by a number of national firms bringing many new jobs to the region.
