Homes For Sale in the Kingston Surrounds Area

As the Wyoming Valley developed in the 1880s the larger communities at the time were split into small municipalities, townships or boroughs.  Towns evolved around the locations of the coal breakers and mine entrances as the industry was the predominant source of jobs at the time.

Within the area known as the Kingston Surrounds, or sometimes referred to as the “West Side” are Edwardsville, Plymouth Borough, Larksville, Courtdale, Luzerne and Pringle.  In its heyday, Plymouth boasted a population of over 16,500 and a vibrant and expansive business district.  Today its population is approximately 6,000.  All of the communities lost population starting in the 1940s as mining diminished in the Wyoming Valley.

Today, each of these communities offer stable and safe neighborhoods for residential living.  In each community land was either reclaimed from mining operations or forested areas developed to create a new housing stock for single family or apartment living.  Our qualified Sales Professionals can guide you to explore any of these towns in your search for your perfect home.
